Scarecrows on Main Rules:

This is a family-friendly event. Scarecrows can be humorous, lovable, and whimsical, but not frightening or distasteful.  MSCA Staff has the right to disqualify any entries not appropriate for a family-friendly event. No political statements will be permitted.

1. Height- no less than 5 feet, not to exceed 7 feet.
2. Constructed to withstand weather conditions. Utilizing a pole/dowel with diameter of less than 3 inches to put in predetermined locations. Zip Ties and floral wire are great weather resistant and cost effective ways to attach your scarecrow to the pole. All Materials/props must be firmly attached to the scarecrow. All additional props must not exceed 3 feet on each side (total space 6x6). Each Scarecrow must have a sign attached depicting name (business, group, individual, etc).
3. Scarecrows will be displayed from October 28th to November 3rd. All scarecrows must be in place and picture ready by 10 am on October 28th.
4. Must be picked up by November 4th. Any scarecrows not picked up will be removed and recycled accordingly. 
5. Photos of individual Scarecrows will be taken to be shared via social media and/or attached to jars for judging.
6. 2 prizes will be awarded: Most creative and People’s Choice
7. Each entry for People’s Choice award will be judged via social media reactions (like, love) from October 28th to October 31st on the MSCA Facebook and Instagram.
8. Entry’s for most creative will be judged onsite via jar donations during Fall Festival only on the 28th of October.
9. Both prize winners will be announced at 5 pm on October 31st. 
10. You must pre-register for this event with a fee of $20. All entries are welcome - the more the merrier!!
